We know picking the right collar and lead for your pet can be confusing. Below are our most commonly asked questions about the range.
How to Fit Your Collar
Adjust the size of the collar so you can fit two fingers between your pet’s neck and its collar when fastened. Due to fluctuations in weight and growth, it’s best to regularly check a collar and adjust when needed. We also suggest when doing your regular check for fit to check for wear and tear. Remove and replace any damaged or frayed collars immediately, as they can pose a risk when out walking or even at home.
How to Keep Your Pet Safe at Night or in Poor Visibility (Morning or Evening Walks)
We offer a range of reflective collars and leads for dogs and a reflective collar for cats to increase their visibility and aid their safety.
What Are Your Collars Made From?
Nylon or cotton.
How Do I Know They Are Strong?
All collars and leads are tested for their strength and made with heavy-duty stitching for durability. We suggest checking for any damage or general wear and tear to ensure it is still fit for purpose.

Leads
Our lead sizes come in 60cm, 120cm, and 180cm in length and are suitable for use with all Purina TOTAL CARE collars. Please note: We recommend you do not leave a dog unattended when wearing a collar and/or lead. Please do not leave any pet tethered unattended.
Cat Collar Safety
All our cat collars come with an insert that stretches if your cat becomes tangled in bushes, fences, or trees. As a mandatory feature, all cat collars come with a bell to protect local wildlife. We suggest that if you are placing a collar on a cat for the first time, supervise and praise this new addition to their personal space. Some cats will try frantically to remove a collar if they have never worn one before and could cause distress. Cats are creatures of habit, and it may take some time for a cat to get used to a new collar.
General Pet Collar and Lead Safety Note
It is important that all pets are microchipped in accordance with your state's regulations in the event their collar comes off so you can be reached. Please also ensure you have followed your local council’s registration guidelines. Always keep your details up to date.
